Funding mixed PBSA & Young Urbans accommodation
Since 2018, Curlew Netherlands has had a mandate with a large Dutch Insurance Company to invest into the niche sector of high quality housing for students and young professionals across The Netherlands.

The investment objective is to implement a core-plus strategy across the 12 academic university cities as well as the cities with the 6 largest universities of applied sciences (“HBOs”) with the aim of creating create an investment portfolio of up to 6 buildings. The focus is to acquire new purpose built properties and conversions through forward funding or forward purchase.

All assets will be branded under the ‘House Of…’ name and the first two developments, House of Groningen and House of Arnhem, were completed in early 2021.
House of Groningen, Groningen
House of Groningen comprises 159 apartments in a new, purpose-built 21-story tower on the edge of Groningen city centre. The apartments, which range from 50 sq. m. to 75 sq. m., are being let on flexible leases and are fitted out to a very high specification. Shared facilities and services include laundry, workstations, lounge areas, coffee bar, bikes and cars.

House of Arnhem, Arnhem
House of Arnhem provides 153 apartments with a similar mix of living space and facilities ranging in size from 24 sq. m. up to 40 sq. m.
